ST. PATRICK’S DAY EVENTS (Butte)

Monday–Tuesday, March 16–17, 2015

Thousands descend on Butte in March to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The holiday starts off with the Finnish crowning of St. Urho’s day on March 16, and carries on the next day with the St. Patrick’s day parade, corned beef and cabbage, green beer and leprechauns of all sizes. Don’t miss the Irish step dancers, bagpipers and the annual Friendly Sons of St. Patrick dinner.

Mass at St. Patrick’s church with the Ancient Order of Hiberians at 8 a.m. St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festivities start at noon in Uptown Butte. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade lines up and leaves from Mercury Street and Colorado (just west of the Mai Wah Museum and Uptown Pork Chop John’s and about a block north of Emma Park) and then proceeds east on Mercury Street to Wyoming Street (by Finlen Hotel), then turns north to Granite Street, then west to Montana Street (passes the County Courthouse), then south on Montana back to Mercury Street where it ends at Dakota Street.

Location Information
Parade is held in uptown Butte on the 17th of March. It forms at Emma Park on Mercury Street, goes east to Wyoming, north on Wyoming to Granite, west on Granite to Montana, south on Montana to Mercury.
